The
Virginia Marine Science Museum - Dolphin tours

and marine science facility, the museum represents the marine environment
in two buildings with over 800,000-gallons of aquariums and live animal
habitats, and more than 100 hands-on exhibits. Animal highlights include
sharks, sea 1997 "Travel Attraction of the Year" by the Southeast
Tourism Society, the Virginia Marine Science Museum is one of the top
10 most visited aquariums in the country.
The
Old Coast Guard Station

Guard Station built in 1903, this museum vividly depicts its history as
well as the many shipwrecks of the coast of Virginia Beach.

Verizon
Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater
Formerly known as GTE Virginia Beach Amphitheater. Verizon Wireless has
7,500 reserved seats located under the pavilion roof, each with an unobstructed
view of the stage. These theater style seats offer plenty of leg room
for you to enjoy the show. Two giant video screens in the reserved section
bring you up close to the action on stage.
Oceana
Naval Air Station
Oceana Boulevard or London Bridge Road (757) 433-3131 Watch the Navy's
most sophisticated aircraft land and take off. Oceana is one of the U.
S. Navy's four master jet bases and has 22 aviation squadrons. It is home
base to the U.S. Navy's F-14 Tomcat fighter planes. Seasonal tours of
the Air Station are available.

BAY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE - Located at the south end of Sandbridge,
this unspoiled wilderness contains 7,700 acres of beach, dunes, woodlands,
and marsh. Possible sightings at the refuge include deer, wild horses,
rabbits, raccoons, opossums, minks, foxes, hawks, osprey, owls, herons,
swans, bald eagles, loggerhead turtles, and in the surf
pilot whales
and dolphins! Hike/bike through the refuge or take a ride on the trams

Norfolk Harbor while cruising on an exact replica of a 19th-century Mississippi

battle between the famous Monitor and Merrimac and see the nation's first
naval shipyard, or the nation's largest naval station with a close look
at the huge "gray ladies" of the Atlantic fleet, including destroyers,

The
Hampton Roads Naval Museum
Located on the second floor of Nauticus: The National Maritime Center
in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Admission to the museum is free. On site
parking is very limited, but there are several city operated parking garages
within walking distance. Guided tours available from 10 am to 4 pm most
